| Subject: How to save GIF's with a transparent background!! Wed Nov 30, 2011 1:13 am | |
| I found this little piece of info and tried it and it worked...thought I would pass along what I've learned!!
Open up your frames in AS make sure you have a transparent background to begin with. When you are ready to save, go to Save or Save As...whichever you normally do. Now follow these directions:
Then click Customize in the first screen: This brings up 3 tabs - Colours, Optimizations and Partial Transparency.
Click the Colors tab. I have Optimize Median Cut, and Error Diffusion ticked.
Click the Optimizations tab. I have Write Minimal Frames, Collapse Identical Frames and Map Identical Pixels to Transparent ticked.
Click the Partial Transparency tab. I tick Convert Pixels less than and generally use 40, but sometimes 100, whichever looks best. I tick Yes Blend With This Color and choose White.
Then press OK, Next, Next, Next, Finish. | |
